Traveling from Croatia to Venice is easy and convenient with our fast ferry connections from Istria. The journey across the Adriatic takes approximately 3 hours and brings you directly to Venice, one of the most visited and historically important cities in Italy. The ferry docks at the San Basilio Terminal, offering direct access to the city. This route is ideal for a day trip to Venice or a convenient one-way connection between Croatia and Italy.
Venice Access Fee 2026 - Important Information
Visitors entering the historic center of Venice must pay an access fee unless they qualify for an exemption. The fee applies between 08:30 and 16:00h.
In 2026, the Venice access fee is required on specific dates from April to July:
April: 3-6, 10-12, 17-19, 24-30
May: 1–3, 8-10, 15-17, 22–24, 29–31
June: 1-7, 12–14, 19–21, 26-28
July: 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26
FEE COST
The fee amount now depends on the date of purchase:
- €5 per adult if purchased at least 4 days before the visit
- €10 per adult for later purchases
EXEMPTIONS
Children under 14 are exempt from paying the fee. We recommend registering them when obtaining the QR code.

Travel schedule
During the cruise you will receive essential information about Venice, its history, and details for your visit. Venice consists of 118 islands connected by a network of canals and bridges, and is globally recognized for its unique urban layout and cultural importance.
After arrival, you will have free time to explore major landmarks such as St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge, and the Grand Canal. Optional services, such as gondola ride, lunch in one of the Venetian restaurants or water taxi ride along the Grand Canal are available at an additional cost.
Return to the departure port is scheduled in the evening.
Departure Ports
Ferries to Venice depart from Istrian ports of Poreč, Rovinj, Pula, Umag and Piran (Slovenia).
Daily return and one-way ferry tickets are available from May to early October.
The ticket price includes the boat ride, port taxes and tour escort.
A valid passport or EU identity card is required for all passengers.
